Copyright: Copyright refers to the laws in which regulate the work of a creator for example an author, artisist, musician or film producer. This law covers various aspects such as copying, distributing, altering and displaying the work of others. Unless contract bided, the creater holds all rights to their work and retains rights to copyright. Ideas must be orignal to claim copyright and not be copied or developed from another source. The idea itself cannot be copyrighted, it must be a physical aspect in order to gain copyright, for example a book or product that has been created.

Copyleft: Copyleft is a method whereby programmes, copied and modified versions of software are made free and available for anyone to use and modify. Basically meaning that a program or work is free and accessible. Copyleft is a form of license which allows an author to distribute their work for others to adapt and modify with the authors permission. Copyleft is therefore the oppostite to copyright and the name represents a play on words and the logo has been reversed.
